Has anyone else seen it? I'm currently watching, midway through episode 4 (gave up because crunchyroll was being weird) and I am thoroughly enjoying it. It's funny and I've never seen such ridiculous action sequences.
Two warnings if you're curious.
1. It's fucking weird and extreme.
2. BOOBS AND ASS. CANT BELIEVE HOW MUCH.

@Zac: Kill la Kill has a lot of parody in it, so if you don't understand what it's referencing for it can make parts the show look dumb.

@Zac: Look past the shitty in-between parts and focus on the omgsogood fight scenes. And Nui and Mako. Always with the Nui and Mako.

@Miser_Reborn:Mako was always kind of whatever for me. I actively disliked when she interfered in fights, aside from her most recent interruption. But Fight Club Mako is great.

@Insanity_Trials: Yea 100% agree with you Mako was cool sometimes but I would get annoyed every time Ryuko told her not to come because it was unsafe but Mako goes with her any way I felt she messed up the more intense emotional parts of the anime

@Zac: Trust me kill la kill gets WAY better its probably one of my top fav animes PS I hope I don't get hate for this but I think in my opinion I enjoyed it alot more than Gurren Lagann

@nemoxcreeper:No, i totally get that. She is in my imgur harem. (creepiness one-uped) But you're both slightly wrong. While I think Kill la Kill is excellent, Gurren Lagann is just too hype.

while TTGL may have more hype moments there were many characters and episodes that I didn't like, while Kill La Kill has no characters or episodes I dislike.

@ADashofRainbow:Alright I guess that's fair. While Kill la Kill is a bit more consistent on characters (a better average, if you will) the difference for me is GL isn't exceptionally higher in hype, it has produced FAR more feels.

@Miser_Reborn:Mako has become the main reason I can't fully enjoy the show, her "funny" dialogue is always when something interesting goes on and she just just starts rattling like a retard and ruins it

It's called comic relief. Nothing in the remainder of the show is interesting. She adds to the show by contributing something that's at least vaguely plot relevant and makes the fight scenes drag a lot less. That and she actually does shit that advances the plot from time to time. Honestly, if it weren't for Mako, Nui, and the fight scenes Kill la Kill would be pretty shit.

@ADashofRainbow: Yea I agree there were moments in TTGL were got kind of uninteresting but with kill la kill there was never a dull moment but dont get me wrong TTGL is a good anime

@nemoxcreeper: Oh, yeah. Ahbsolutely. The entire episode devoted to explaining the backstory of something that was sort of hand-waved as Freebie Fantastical Element #731 in excruciating detail was RIVETING. Seriously. I believe it was about Episode 14 where they explained what life fibers were for THREE QUARTERS OF THE FROAKING EPISODE. And that's just the tip of the iceberg, m8.

@Miser_Reborn: yea you gotta a point with episode 14 were they went in depth with the life fibers but tbh it wasent that bad it still kept my attention and the back story in kill la kill is no were near the same as narutos back storys I mean I like naruto but god dame I saw the same scenes over and over and over again and explains things that everyone already knows about

@Miser_Reborn:I'll give you Nui, even though I hate her as well, not as much as Mako though because there are interesting moments where it kinda get's deep and she ruins it with her stupid crossed arms. But it's cool that you can actually like her. Sure as hell wish I could.

So I watched the raw version. It's a pretty good episode. This entire half of the season has built up to the finale, and I think it really suffered for it. Should've pulled a Gurren Lagann and just made the entire thing about killing increasingly-higher-ranking-leaders. The ideal second half (post-blowing-up-Honnouji Academy) would be a full-fledged, two-episode fight with the black chick whose name no one knows and who does basically nothing but stand around (and that's under the stipulation that she'd be a MUCH more interesting character), another with Nui (that DIDN'T end half-assed and actually finished her off), and the finale against Ragyo.
Also, did I mention Ragyo sucks.
