Yeah, these are the kinds of threads I like to make.
Anyways, I just heard a bit of "Bring Me to Life" by that band with the chick singer and that got a chuckle out of me. It's these kind of songs. You hear them once and they can't get out of your head. People like them and you probably did for a second too; now no matter how stupid you think they are, you can't help but like them. Whether it's because they're unintentionally funny or unbelievably bad, yet others like them and you can't help but like them too.
I personally like to listen to "Numb" by Linkin Park for a good laugh on a slow day. Does anyone else have a popular or formerly popular bad song as a guilty pleasure?

Numb for a laugh? Damn, you are one crazy mofo. But yeah, all I listen to anymore is guilty pleasure shit tbh.

It almost seems like I'm the only one who genuinely cares about Linkin Park from my group of friends anymore. I still get genuinely excited when they release a new album and I'm even more psyched for the upcoming one, 'The Hunting Party'. They're going to have tracks featuring Daron Malakian (System Of A Down) and Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine). That has me pumped.

@absolutezilch: Numb is pretty funny. It sounds like a teen whining to their father for not meeting his expectations. Oh, and it might not be a popular song but:

@absolutezilch: The recent LP albums haven't been too great. I really hope the next one is a "return to form".
absolutezilch Hey Big Zam!
@Parks: Yeah I suppose they didn't tear it up much in the recent few as much as I would have liked them to. And yep, F.O.B. is great but they're generally not liked much by the 'finer art' audiences I guess. I don't know man, I'm not really a music elitist.

Replying to OP: the lyric your mentioning is guilty feet have got no rhythm and its by a band called seether
absolutezilch Hey Big Zam!
@deadshadow: Yeah but he was making a pun because we're talking about guilty pleasure music so therefore 'guilty beats'. Also, the cover by Seether is absolutely fantastic, yes, but the original is by George Michael (Wham) - 1984.
Unless you were intentionally joking/trolling in which case, my bad! :p
deadshadow foking furry
@absolutezilch: nope i didn't get the joke and i hear the song so much it annoys me it's a good song but as with most good songs that can be played on radio it is over played

@TenaciousTuttle: I actually like the 90's style music by Crush 40 for the Sonic games. It should be a guilty pleasure, but I appreciate it how cheesy it can get.

@deadshadow: Sorry. I hadn't noticed someone already clarified on the title of the thread. I actually thought you were joking.

A certain "new" Avril Lavigne song has been stuck in my head since I heard it the other day.

@M4xwell:
The Beatles sold a lot of records not because they were the greatest musicians but simply because their music was easy to sell to the masses: it had no difficult content, it had no technical innovations, it had no creative depth. They wrote a bunch of catchy 3-minute ditties and they were photogenic. If somebody had not invented "beatlemania" in 1963, I would not have wasted five minutes of my time to write about such a trivial band.

@TheXRayFactor: i would say they had influence on people though lots of bands get influence from band that took the 3 things the beatles did

I guiltily think this is a good song:
The video is ridiculous, and Miley is a crazy bitch, but I like the song itself.

@Awl4Derpy: Just for future reference, here's how you would embed a video on CHAT successfully if you want to share something with other people.

I don't really have any music that I'm GUILTY of. I mean, some would say Nickelback should be mine but I don't feel guilty for listening to them, as I personally like them.
LV_Wizard Lord_Haiku
@Shannon: You don't have to be guilty for something you like, we all have guilty pleasures ( I like Toblerones) and a part of the fun is telling people off for saying you shouldn't like it, for example
Random friend: Wow, that Toblerone looks big, you Should probably only eat half
Me: So does your hospital bill after the Shut The Fuck Up fairyâ„¢ comes to bless your stupid comment with assault and battery, but I don't remember asking your opinion on that either.
And so a friend was lost, but a delicious candy bar gained that day.

@absolutezilch: Just got your reference, but I would like to note that they are actually mountains.

While this isn't a bad song I like it more than I should. Reminds me of a very particular phase in my life.
I don't even like Trivium.

I feel like I have to post my ringtone, because of the title of this thread.

@B0r1ng: It was a vine Tina tweeted a while ago, someone said it should be a ringtone, so I made one, and tweeted at them.
I had it go off in public the other day. The stares made me glad I made the ringtone.
