Currently in my city it's 41 degrees Celsius, meaning 105.8 Fahrenheit. Even for Australia this is pretty damn hot.
Does anyone else get weather this extreme?

Classic Adelaide. But i believe even little old Hobart got hotter than that in January when w e were burning up. I though 40 was Adelaide's summer standard.

Yeah, this is pretty much Adelaide every Summer; although it becomes less bearable the older you get. Supposedly the hottest temperatures in all Australian cities seem to be 49

Replying to OP: Sometimes in the summer where I live it can go over the 100's (around 35-40 C's if Google is correct), but that's the most extreme I experience weather-wise year-round.

that's not that extreme, where i live the temperature has been about -7C which is about 19F, and has been colder. but right now its 6C (49F) so i guess its getting warmer.

@Jakalarf: It's still pretty extreme. Your temperature is similar just on the opposite side of the spectrum. Personally don't know how you can handle that kind of cold.

@Christopher : In Hobart tomorrow it will be 38 and then on Friday it will be 18. That's such a crazy drop in temperature! Knowing Hobart we will probably have snow on the mountain for Christmas.

@Jakalarf:
That's crazy, man. 20C for me is a nice chill day.
@1:
Australia's weather patterns make no sense whatsoever. Snow isn't even a thought in Adelaide, don't think we've ever had any.

@Christopher : i just looked at you're original post and i thought it was in Fahrenheit, not Celsius. so i thought you were talking about cold weather not hot.

... So how warm is it there in real temperature measurements? I don't give a shit about the boiling point or freezing point of water.

@simsoy:
Not sure who you're talking to, but if you're used to cold weather, 0 degrees is easily tolerable. Below -15°C is when I start dreading being outside.

@Christopher :
At least it's not humid. It would be absolutely insufferable with a humidity of like 55%.
Christopher
@IceCube: That's true. Still, wouldn't put anything past Adelaide's inconsistent weather
