So anyone else hoping the next Pokemon games are Ruby and Sapphire remakes? Also how big of a difference is there between Black and Black 2?

I really hope there is a remake of Sapphire and Ruby. I really do. They could do so much with that game.

Black 2 is better than Black, really. I mean, you're in the same environment, just different plot, which is much more developed than most Pokémon games. There's a lot of good Pokémon you can get in the game that you couldn't get in Black, like Lucario, Flygon, and others. There's a balance of good Pokémon that wasn't in Black 1, plus there's a good deal of other features that makes it good.

So to answer your question, there's a considerable amount of difference between the two, despite both of them being in the same region with a lot of the same characters.

Is there a ROM for Black 2 yet or is that not happening? Only ever found one for the first.

@LaughingMan9:
There has to be one somewhere. Maybe they're having trouble with anti-piracy patches. Nintendo must have noticed how quickly their Black/White no-EXP thing was patched for ROMs and so probably upped their game a little.

I'm not entirely sure about a Gen III remake being made. Here's an over-complicated explanation why!

The thing with Gen III is the time gap. It takes place at around the same time as Gen I, that's why you could trade freely between R/S/E and FR/LG through normal means. Gen II takes place a few years after these. That's why you would have to use the Time Capsule to trade between R/B/G and G/S/C, and trade between G/S/C and R/S/E is impossible. Gen IV is set around the same time as Gen II, Pokémon from FR/LF and R/S/E can be transferred to D/P/Pt through the Pal Park. The canon explanation for this is that your character from the past left his Pokémon there and you're collecting them in the future. This is why you can't send them back. As far as I know, B/W/B2/W2 are all set alongside Gen IV, which is why you can trade freely between them. Bringing Gen III into this would cause problems unless either they make the other games inaccessible through trade or they had the foresight to include a means of trade while making the games, which is unlikely for D/P/Pt, HG/SS, and probably B/W.
(when I mention a Gen, I'm referring to the main game of the series and its remakes, not the generation of games release. i.e. Gen IV being D/P/Pt, but not HG/SS, which would still be Gen II)

@JohnStephen: Thats a lot of words and im, as some call it, dumb when it comes to things other than the type of the Pokemon.

You should have used a graph. Who doesn't love graphs, after all?

I really hope they do make remakes for Ruby/Sapphire, but if they did, it would probably a long time before we see them release since they've already got plans for Pokemon Bank and most likely a third edition of X/Y, just gonna guess they're gonna call it Z.

@JohnStephen: Pie chart slides are acceptable.
