What is your favourite show? Dub or Sub? Long or short? How were you introduced?
Do you have any suggestions on any shows that would only last a week? I only need to watch something until the new One Piece Episodes are released.

Legend of Korra counts, right? The first season's a self-contained story and 12 half-our episodes long. You can breeze through it pretty easily.

Redblood801 Chief Dingus
@aStingyMiser: Legend of Korra is not an anime. It is a U.S. made animation.

aStingyMiser
@Redblood801: Hence, "counts." I figured if he wanted something to watch, might as well.
If not just watch Soul Eater.

AH_Gray RIPeroni
Samurai Champloo dubbed. It is 26 episodes that are a little under a half hour. You could definitely watch it in a week. DO IT.

Redblood801 Chief Dingus
@aStingyMiser: Not gonna lie, I don't like the season so far. Korra is being a total bitch to everyone and it just makes it uncomfortable to watch.

aStingyMiser
@Redblood801: Not gonna lie, watching the rest of Season 2 that I haven't seen yet with a friend. I've seen up to episode 3. It's a lot of scenery porn but I've enjoyed it thus far. This coming from the person who liked Korra more than TLA.

Redblood801 Chief Dingus
@aStingyMiser: Basically. Either way, I'm still wrong and am going to bend myself to death.

My favourite anime is Toradora! because I am a bitch that loves romantic comedies. Its only one season of 25. My favourite long anime is definitely One Piece. I was at the Hody Jones arc months if not a year ago but I moved to other things then my old phone with my manga app broke so I have a new one and started over on One Piece and other things. I am almost to the Saving Ace arc and then I will finally reach New World.
I literally have a notepad full of different animes and mangas- Ones I am finished, currently reading/watching, or ones that are coming soon.
I can recommend some depending on what genre you would like and what length.
Kyoukai no Kanata started like a week ago and I love it so far. I linked it in a thread yesterday so I can find it again on youtube if anyone cares to try it out.

AND I always prefer SUB. I mean I won't shit on dubs because people do work hard on them but I just believe the japanese voice actors tend to fit the characters better.

For a series that is "technically" anime, Fooly Cooly is my favourite anime. It's incredibly short (6 episodes), so it might not be enough to last you a week. You should also watch Fate/Zero because that is also really good and only 25 episodes.

ADashofRainbow
favourites:
Shingeki no kyojin
Sword art online
Seitokai Yakuindomo
Fate Zero
You have to go sub, dubs are normally not very well done and I don't think it feels as authentic. I prefer 13-25 episodes and the longest I've watched is FMA which is about 60. I got into it through watching FMA because I'd heard good things about it, then I saw SAO mentioned on one of the many CHAT anime threads, marathon-ed the whole series in a day and then I was hooked.

@ADashofRainbow:
I believe there will be a new SYD ova this month, really hyped

The only exposure to anime that i have had is One Piece, Cant wait to check out all these new suggestions.

TheXRayFactor Based Deak
@Zac:
Besides those already suggested, I also recommend Angel Beats!
(and now we wait for the inevitable)

@TheXRayFactor: Its an even match between white, pink, and red hair for me. It looks great on almost any character.
I have tons more to post but this post is long enough.

TheXRayFactor Based Deak
@MrFozzilla:
Bakemonogatari. You know, from the same series of the infamous toothbrush video that Mike loves.

MrFozzilla the Inactive
@TheXRayFactor: Oh god. Welp. Seems interesting enough to cure my boredom. I will check it out

OH back to a recommendation. If you are like me and love shoujo animes or just short good ones then I recommend Anohana. It has 11 episodes. Has a tear jerker last episode. Well it was for me atleast.

TheXRayFactor Based Deak
@MrFozzilla:
I always heard nice things about it, might put it in my anime checklist.
Not that it really matters, as I haven't watched a single one for three months, but still.

SpongeyGString Akari~n!
@aWSOMN360: Was it really worth suggesting it to someone who's already watching it?

SpongeyGString Akari~n!
@Zac: I didn't. This is a thread in which the purpose is to suggest animes for you to watch. You already said you're watching One Piece, thus it was a poor suggestion.

MrFozzilla the Inactive
@Redblood801: Watched all of those before continuing on with the thread. Threads need commercial breaks now after every 50 or so posts.

Favourite anime would probably be Cowboy Bebop, if you haven't seen it you should kill yourself.

Favourite subbed has to be Attack on Titan with Kill la Kill coming out recently it may overtake it. Dubbed is one of these: FMA: Brotherhood, Gurren Lagann, Deadman Wonderland. Soul Eater and Trigun.
Edit: I actually have stories for some of these. I heard of Attack on Titan on the Super Best Friends cast and I looked it up when there were 5 episodes on crunchyroll available to the public, and that got me hooked. I love Gurren Lagann so since Kill la Kill is similar and made by the same people I've been looking forward to it. Brotherhood was suggested by Netflix and I'd only ever finished the original series and parts of Brotherhood so I watched the whole of Brotherhood in like 3 weeks only stopping to play videogames, go to work, band camp, and school starting Miles talked about Soul Eater and Gurren Lagann on the RT podcast and I knew that Two Best Friends played talked about Gurren Lagann and I watched them back to back and loved them. My friend Tereall suggested Trigun and I loved that. And While watching my grandparents house and dog for a couple days I watched Toonami for the first time in years. And the first thing I see is the fourth episode of Deadman Wonderland. I went to the internet to find out what it was and I loved all of it.
Man that was a lot

Liana
FLCL - dub, 6 episodes
DRRR!! - dub, 25 episodes
My boyfriend introduced me to them, they are two of his favourites and the first two anime shows that we watched together.

@Redblood801: I'd love to go to the New World on the Thousand Sunny though but sure, why not. Lets do this. We're gonna party likes it 1978.

Redblood801 Chief Dingus
@MrFozzilla: Wait, you want to go to the New World?
*slaps punch bowl off the table* WHAT THE HELL ARE WE WAITING FOR? ONWARD TO ADVENTURE!

MrFozzilla the Inactive
@ReservoirDog: It is on my list don't worry. Its just with about 100 other anime and mangas I have to watch/read .-.

ReservoirDog
@MrFozzilla: It should top your list, it's a classic and it has one of the best dubs of all animes.

Neal ROLF
@TheXRayFactor: Hey try listening to subbed Deadman Wonderland. All I hear is Naruto saying all of Ganta's lines. dubbes can work out a lot better.

TheXRayFactor Based Deak
@Neal:
nah, dubs are silly
@Redblood801:
stay tuned for the lol shirts shirt m8

MrFozzilla the Inactive
@MikeCastFan: That is also on my list but years from now after I hopefully forget a major spoiler of it that was told to me -_-

ReservoirDog
@TheXRayFactor: I prefer subs, but in Cowboy Bebops case, dub all the way. Some animes have great dubs.
