Replying to OP: You have to inspect it more.

I bought a lot of fake decks from pawn shops and such. They usually have this holographic-esque type of layer on them that you can especially see on the back. It's like a purplish glaze, if I remember correctly.

But I am sure there are other types of fake cards, but that's my two cents.

I don't think so, the gold mark in the right corner seems legit, most of the fakes have a yellow color, like really bright (some dickhead cousin of mine traded a fake exodia with me for mah legit blue eyes and i thought he was the dumbass for trading his exodia, all 5 cards)
and if you know the guy irl, just ask him to see the card, it'll have a hologram where the gold mark is, or ask for a short vid if possible if it's online

Is it rare or something? I'm pretty sure I had one when I gave away all of my cards

Replying to OP: From the pic it looks real but you should examine it more. Most fakes I have encountered are too smooth and don't feel right when you touch them.

i know theres a tin called shooting star dragon which has stardust in but does anyone know a online shop that sells it apart from amazon?

I remember when I was little and into yugioh my grandma bought me a bunch of cards from the dollar store. Needless to say they were fake and they were also extremely bad too. Not even anywhere close to real. The glossing over them was weird and the texture and thickness was too.

Anyways you are going to want to see the back of the card as well. the front checks out, but the back should have the konami and yugioh logos.

Also I was wondering: If a card is fake, but so good at hiding it that it needs an expert to examine it, and you aren't playing in any big official tournament, what's the harm of keeping it and using it? It's not like anyone will know. Hell, probably you won't even know.

Replying to OP: Well either which way its still just £5 at my age that's a lot but im guess you are of the age to have your own job(like most others on the site) so just buy it. if it turns out to be a fake who gives a shit. Just pass it on to the next sucker.(try ray)
