I think the price is to much especially in the uk seeing as people in the uk got to pay a hundred pounds more
xbox one $499 in America and £429 in the uk but 499 dollars is 329 pounds
what do you guys think?

I don't think the price is that bad, the Xbox One has better technology in it and it comes with a Kinect (not that I will even use it).

And the Xbox has 8GB of ram and will have 500GB of storage, the PS4 will also have 8GB of ram, i don't know how much storage.

@ReservoirDog: Xbox Live. We pay 60 bucks a year. People say - oh it's not that much - but what are you honestly paying for? Ads are used on websites (and videos) to make money, since we as people can't just donate every time we hit enter when we finish typing in a URL. However, we already pay them our money, yet we still get annoying ass ads. And the voice quality is just fucking awful. Skype is free and offers much much better quality. Same with PS Home. Sure you get a friends list and shit but it really isn't all that special and, again, Skype (and many other programs on the PC for that matter) and PS Home offer the same service for free. And then you say, Oh you get to play online. Same thing with PS and PC. Except you don't have to pay.

@shenmoki: Its not PS Home. Its Playstation Plus. And they do make their subscription worth it with free game offers and discounts in the store. Yea MS is giving us some free games but they're from 2007. Playstation gave me Sleeping Dogs this past month.

The PS4 is 8GB DDR*5*
Also, 18 compute units vs xbox one's 12. In essence the PS4 is a full 50% more powerful.

Also I should point out the price point is before VAT, so that £100 more is going to be even more come retail.

I play on a PC gaming rig as well as xbox and I still plan on getting the xbox one, because I don't care about PS being better. All my friends are on xbox and to me thats more important than anything, so quit having your panties in a twist and get over it

Least we forget when Sony said a couple years ago when they said it'd be 500 bucks it was insane and needed negative attention, but now that the economy has gone downhill and jobs are difficult to come by, suddenly that price is okay?

Just saw a prediction that after they get crushed in the holiday sales Xbox will drop their price. Apparently they're too confident to drop it before launch.

I'm not surprised its 500 dollars, it comes with the console, kinect and a controller.
xbox 360 launch price was $399.99 and kinect at launch was $150. add that together without tax and that's 50 dollars less then xbox one, and xbox one and the new kinect have better technology that hopefully wont break after a year.

after checking the launch price of the xbox 360 i realized that the launch price was $100 more in canada then in the united states. so i payed $499.99 for my xbox 360.
