At least have an argument. Windows 8 is extremely similar and just as easy to use as windows 7, if you have an IQ of over 12.

Plus a better start menu all around, easier to see all your pinned icons and the search feature makes it so I can see what I am clicking. Dual monitor users were given a lot of attention too. the only difference is that windows 8 has a start screen, and 7 has a bar that opens up. Really I can't tell difference besides that.

i went to go buy a laptop a while back and the guy there was telling me how much greater windows 8 was, i bought a laptop with windows 8 and returned it the next day. then went to a different store and bought one with windows 7. I hate windows 8 it feel like feels like your computer is a giant phone.

Microsoft didnt release a new windows OS just to change the UI and piss everyone off, they actually made a faster and overall better preforming Windows. There is still a desktop, and you can download something like Classic Shell to bypass the new start screen entirely and add an actual start button we are all used to.

I love ya man, but i used it for a couple hours at dad's work and i still didnt like it for other reasons. (Keep in mind, that start menu is universally hated for a reason)

I haven't used Windows 8 myself, but from what I've seen, it's exactly the same as 7.
Also, I'm not sure if this is true or not, but I've heard that because Windows 8 is so new that some programs aren't able to run on it or something?

It's just like when they started using macs at RT. Their first day they fucking hated mac, but it was only because they had not used it, but once they gave it a few days experience they liked it.
There is the same learning curve for windows 8, and until you learn it things are going to be worse. The first time you used any windows did you know everything right away?
And all the complaining about the start menu is retarded. It's the exact same thing it just looks different. And it literally takes a few seconds to change back to the original start menu. And if you are going to deny everything else being better just because of a start menu that you are to lazy to change you don't even deserve to have an argument.

Common misconception. Programs not configured for windows 8 can't be used or started up from the metro start menu. They can still be started and ran from the desktop. (AND YES THERE IS STILL A FUCKING NORMAL DESKTOP!!!! HOW DO PEOPLE STILL NOT KNOW THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????)

I just said why I personally didnt like it. That's all. I found it really unintuitive in several areas. I barely noticed the advancements, but thats just me.
The thing is, it's almost universally disliked, which isnt saying much for its credibility/usability.

For some reason, the fullscreen apps would override the default programs i set for most files. Kinda annoying at the time. Just sayin.
