You guys ever tried it? I've been trying to hit my seed all day and I've concluded that it's impossible.

In Pokémon games, the "random" values that the game uses to determine what Pokemon you encounter aren't really random and can be predicted. Using a program like tells you what you need to do in order to get a desired line of code that will give you the desired Pokémon.

@Nate: The point of RNG is to get perfect Pokémon without cheating. This method involves using an external device to modify the game which makes it cheating.

No use spending hours doing this shit. I have been there and witnessed how much time it takes. By the time you have read this I could have made a team (or at least one Pokemon) that is perfectly legal by meta-game rules and 100 percent obtainable within the game, but spending hundreds of hours less than it would take to obtain. Are you trying to get the feeling of accomplishment of getting it? Having done something similar, I say it's not fucking worth it. Just fucking cheat.

@Nate: I just like to do it for the fun challenge. I find the concept of predicting seemingly random numbers fascinating. There's not much about Pokémon that's complex or challenging and RNG adds these 2 elements. I'll still use cheats for calculating IVs or seeing my SID because doing it without cheating is just tedious. It's getting to the reward for me, not having the reward.

Yeah I feel you, I am a fan of challenge. I've just played too much Pokemon to think of doing such a thing. I just am much more a fan of challenge based on my lack of ability, with the feel that accomplishment isn't based on a randomly generated number of which I have no control over.
