@MLP_JoshF:Does it pick up beyond episode 2? I watch to that point, but I didn't continue because nothing was really happening.

@simsoy:
it has a short arc with a lot of fighting, then delves into the story and into a LOT of politics.

my personal favourites were k-on, madoka magica, fairy tale, angel beats, baka and test, sword art online and the melancholy of haruhi suzumiya
ADashofRainbow
@Chujitsuna:
K-On, Madoka Magika, Baka and test and Sword Art Online are some of my favourites too! I'd recommend trying Seitokai Yakuindomo, it's a probably the funniest anime.

@ADashofRainbow:
It saddens me to know there will never be an entire series about the clearly best character of the show
Insanity_Trials Whisper Kick
Soul Eater has been consuming me lately. Also Kill la Kill. And Death Note. Fuck.
JohnStephen
@Insanity_Trials:
Ugh, I tried Soul Eater, I just couldn't. Even the friend who recommended it couldn't bear finish it, and he watches One Piece ffs!
JohnStephen
@ADashofRainbow:
You always have that sweet spot for your first anime, no matter how little you remember of it...

I'll be honest with you, the first season was somewhat interesting, but this second season has been so fucking annoying so far that I can't even describe
MLP_JoshF
@TheXRayFactor: Well, I'm still on the first season, so I can't judge the entirety of the show.
2punkrock4you
Rave Master was one of my favourites, along with MAR. I never watched the show but I really liked the .Hack manga so theres those

@Neal:
You gotta be kidding me! Really?! RTÉ stopped airing it waaay back! I might have to watch some of it again.

Boku No Pico.

The Girl Who Leapt Through time was surprisingly good. It's a film about a girl and she leaps through time. She oes stuff like going back to the start of a bad day and avoiding all the things that happened. Then the whole cause and effect shenanigans comes into it and eventually starts effecting her friends. Good film, great music, lots-o-feels, watch it.

that doesn't sound right at all
JohnStephen
@TheXRayFactor:
Yeah, it's quite a literal title. I mean, the main character literally leaps through time. No joke, in order to travel through time she has to physically leap, Also, she's a girl.

Alright, finished K-ON in its entirety and need something to watch (slice of life/parody).
JohnStephen
@M4xwell:
Evangelion is a parody of the mecha genre, it takes the standard mecha characters and makes them realistic, which is why they're all fucked up beyond belief by the end of the series. It's also pretty much a slice of life series.

@M4xwell:
Love Lab, then. Or maybe GJ-Club. Or even Mikakunin de Shinkoukei.
heheheh
MLP_JoshF
@ADashofRainbow: I had to watch Madoka Magica first, but now that I've finished that, I can start this. I will start tonight.
Chenzo ( ͡° ͜ʖ
@MLP_JoshF: I should probably watch that one also since apparently everyone and their mother has watched it.
Zackizzle
@M4xwell: Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo is a pretty good slice of life, but it's not parody though.

@Zackizzle:
Yeah, it's a really great show!
Ryuu completely steals the show when he appears.

@MLP_JoshF: I'm going to have to wait a little bit more to start Upotte, I'm balls deep in FMA:B, and I can't quit now.

@MLP_JoshF:Aw man, FMA:B is so good. I wish I could wipe that from my mind and rewatch it again and again and again.

@JohnStephen: Evangelion?
Seen it and barely enjoyed it, although some parts were interesting.
BearsAreCool
Angel Beats, Sword Art Online, Attack on Titan, Log Horizon, Kill la Kill, and Strike the Blood are some that are on the top of my head
ReservoirDog
So, I just finished watching Wolf Children and holy fuck was that a great movie. Many, many feels. I highly recommend it.
MLP_JoshF
@MLP_JoshF: If you want a show that will make you cry, then this show will definitely get the job done. I nearly drowned in a pool of my own tears.
