Now that I have one, what games should I get for it?

@Mike:...Well, now I know what I'm buying after school tomorrow. XD
By the way, Gamertag is FlygonNick. :D
Redblood801 Chief Dingus
@FlygonNick: Yup. It gets my seal of approval and is one of my Top 5 Best Games of All Time.
EDIT: By the way, if anyone wants to make a Redblood seal of approval...

How about XBOX xxclusives? Preferably things that I'm able to perfect. I'm nervous about playing things like Halo simply because no one plays in those lobbies anymore...if they're even still around, which I doubt.

Mass Effect? Though not technically exclusive, the first one wasn't available on ps3 prior to the trilogy coming out

Mass effect 1 and 2 (i personally dont recommend 3 but whatever)
Red Dead Redemption
Psychonauts
Portal 2
GTA 5
Have fun buddy :3

GAH.
I can't wait until tomorrow, when I can sit down and actually play this thing.
So many games, so little time.

I highly recommend The entire Mass Effect trilogy. In my opinion Mass Effect 3 is one of the best games ever made.. Seriously get the entire trilogy it is like $35 and I think all the DLC is included in the trilogy pack.
Neal ROLF
@cannonofdoom: It isn't. It is a great story with well made combat (aside from the first one). And the universe is very interesting and could be the setting for many great games to come.

Already have Minecraft, Red Dead, Gears 1, and Halo 4. Planning to get Mass Effect, Banjo Kazooie and Tooie, and Left 4 Dead hopefully.
Is the Dead Space series worth getting? Those look really BA.

@FlygonNick:
Dead Space 2 is kinda fun. The third one started well but then became a shitfest

@Neal:
Am I the only pants-on-head retarded on chat that preferred the first game over its sequels in terms of gameplay?

@TheXRayFactor: I did like the never having to reload my assault rifle ever and never have to worry about ammo.

Fable, Fable II, Fable III
Also I think Left 4 Dead is pretty inactive on the 360, and considering a its strongly multiplayer focused you might have a hard time finding people to play with. I highly recommend the game the as it's one of my absolute favourites. The experience is just much much better on PC.
Also Left 4 Dead 2 is even better.

@Eddie:
L4D2 will probably be easier to find people in too. And you can play all the L4D campaigns on L4D2.

I also just started playing Beyond Good and Evil for the first time, way fun, and I'm pretty sure the HD remake is available on XBLA for less than 3 dollars

@Neal:
The first game was the best game. It's an average story that's been told a thousand times. Space zombies and a great malevolent evil bent on destroying the whole world? Please. Halo did that and they weren't even the first. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheEndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt And the universe is no more interesting than any other sci fi universe.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Now to acquire funds to purchase said games...
This is always the hard part.

@TheXRayFactor: There were a few things in the original Mass Effect, but the aiming and power use in it are weak and the enemies that would run up and one shot you when you are behind cover made the combat unenjoyable.. The main thing is that 2

@FlygonNick:
May i partially hijack and ask if anyone has some good opinions on what the best beginner games are? For fun and gaining skills.
(...For a friend...who has lived an unfortunate and sheltered life without console access until now)
Neal ROLF
@Redblood801: I'd agree if it wasn't for the fact that I played as an Engineer and so I got all the cool offensive abilities that made guns useless in 2 and they throw too much ammo at you in 3.

Halo 3 was always a personal favourite, even though nobody plays as much any more. I recommend Red Dead for sure.

HALO
TaylorFTW
@LynnKelly: Halo is a good introduction to the FPS genre, it was my first shooter on the original xbox and now you can always go grab Halo Anniversary for the 360, Fable was sort of my introduction to RPGish games (at least on the xbox) but you would either have to play the original xbox version or wait however long its going to take them to make the HD remake.

@TaylorFTW:If I was looking for an rpg that is friendly to newbies, I would suggest skyrim, Halo is good for fps. I would suggest deadspace but that is a little stressful for new players, ammo conservation is a pain in the ass on your first run

@Neal:
I have been waiting so long for Minecraft, my laptop is a peice of shit so i can't even get the PC version.
@TaylorFTW:
Ohh, Halo was on my list but i didn't know if it was the best to jump in to. And my friend used to go on about Fable a lot so i'm sure that'll make her happy. Thanks
TaylorFTW
@forcep: I thought Dead Space was user friendly too, until I asked my father if he wanted to try and hilarity ensued...the fact that the buttons do different things depending on which trigger was being pulled was completely over his head. Skyrim is probably okay though, a steeper learning curve than Fable, but not nearly as steep as playing Oblivion

@TaylorFTW:dead space is not at all, I suggest having some experience, and a basic understanding of not spraying and praying.

Are metro 2033 and last light only on Xbox consol wise? If so, those are great games. If not... well they're still great games!
GFalcon
@Neal: Ah, thanks. Guess I probably should have just looked it up, cause you know, Internet an all :)
Miser_Reborn
BAYONETTA.
BAYONETTA
BAYONETTA.
And to reiterate,
BAYONETTA.
Seriously. Also, Vanquish and Red Faction Guerilla are both dirt cheap (the latter is under 5 bucks) and excellent.
BUT SERIOSULY GET BAYONETTA.
Miser_Reborn
@LynnKelly: God, no, don't introduce them to Fable. I recommend games like Dark Souls, Dorf Fortress, Any Weebshit RPG, and Brain.
ItalianBadger
@LynnKelly: ...I feel like being introduced to a console now makes a person miss out on a lot of things. I suppose new memories can be made with new games
LynnKelly
@ItalianBadger:
Whaaa?
You mean, being introduced so late , i've missed out on the excitement of new games and actually experiencing all the progress over the years? That kinda stuff?
'Cause if it's that, then i know. And it sucks. But i couldn't do much about it.
ItalianBadger
@LynnKelly: Exactly it, but then again it's not like it will stop progressing. We're onto the next gen!

I love RPGs so im going to suggest some of my favourites.
-Skyrim, for that casual pleasure. Its especially awesome for the first time to explore that mysterious world. Later you will sadly realize that every single quest you do is to clear a dungeon filled with zombies or bandits. I love it nonetheless.
-The Witcher 2 has a deep story, maybe my favourite story in a video game. Theres choices that have a real effect in the game and you dont usually see the results right away. Combat is somewhat hard to get in to, but when you do, even the hardest difficulty is not a challenge. The game doesnt hold your hand like Skyrim does, so it requires full concentration.
-Dark Souls is a step further from those two, very challenging and very hard to get into although very rewarding as well. The story and lore is not shoved in your face by cutscenes and NPCs explaining it like to a five year old, so you have to figure it out yourself. In the end its all so well linked together that it blows your mind.
This game is hardcore and not for everyone.
