So I finished the game on Saturday and I thought it was pretty swell. So did you pick Trevor, Michel or death match.

Absolutely, there is no reason for the player to pick for either of the characters, that the player has played with for hours, to die. Of course people will pick C, why wouldn't they. However, C was such an anti-climax to have a storyline about bank robbers and pretty bad people to end such a way, with all of the characters making it out alive and unscathed. Yet A and B just doesn't make sense. Franklin has no motivation to pick either one.
The way they should've do it is during the big shootout in the warehouse from C, there is a moment where the game tells you to kill either Michael or Trevor, to add that sense of urgency that was lacking. However, there would also be the hidden C option which wasn't explicitly stated, where Franklin could holster his weapon, and the plot line of C could continue on. Just an idea.
Why the fuck would Franklin kill Michael? It just doesn't make sense (although killing Trevor kinda does, because everyone (in game) hates the guy).

@Wrex: It's not that he has a motivation to kill either, it's that the Bureau guys and Devin forced him to kill Michael or Trevor.

The third option every time guys come on! I'm annoyed that I missed the premier of meltdown. I was actually keen for that. That was a superb story though, absolutely the best gta ever, in terms of story. I would like to know how a $200M heist nets me a mere $32M though.

GTA V is a great game and all, what with the graphics and various mechanics, but it absolutely failed to suck me into the story. The way it was based gave to much information to easily. Like how they casually let it out that Michael set up Trevor and Brad and how brad was in Michael's grave. Oh and the ending, the fucking ending. The ending, or at least death wish, was so fucking anticlimactic. It took me all of 15 minutes to kill everyone and end the mission, and after that it took me a minute or two to realize that was even the end. I mean seriously, I killed all the dudes, whoop-dee-fucking-doo, let's get back to robbing banks.
Other than the story though the game play is above average and I am looking forward to multiplayer.

@1:It broke down where all of the money went after the mission is completed, don't you remember? Lester and the crew you take also take significant cuts.

I do remember the break down. 24 mil to lester for doing some computer business, 80 mil for the crew, and I got some of the cheapest around. Just because they broke it down, it doesn't increase the amount of money I get.

Replying to OP: Also by the way, if you are going to post spoilers you should do it in a separate comment on the thread, not in the thread description. When I went to the IB home page it shows the most recent thread, including the full description, so you kind of spoiled the game a little bit.

@D4haka97: Meh, I wasn't a fan of the deathwish ending. I only 'wish' (lel) that I chose it so I can play as all three after the game was over. Options A and B are the better endings storywise, at least for me.

@MLP_JoshF:I like death wish, it gets rid of the problems for the trio and the way Devin gets killed was cool. and I replayed the whole story again so that i could still get all the acheivements

Sounds like a cool idea, but the ending of C was SO FUCKING SATISFYING! I think it was fine.
Bitter-sweet endings are always nice, though.
Either way, Rockstar games are generally not story-heavy, so the fact that GTA V generated so much discussion within the community is a nice change in pace from them.
