true but I don't think that's changed in halo 4. Halo 3 was really fun though.

Replying to Bello: The series hasn't impressed me enough to bother wanting to play much of it. Halo 1 is really meh. I just don't have any interest continuing. (holy shit I just realized how much I rant here) And don't give me the story argument or that I haven't played enough of the series. First off, I've played the first game and the prequel, which come first chronologically. I'm playing them in order, fucktards. Secondly, a game series should be accessible at any point. If it isn't, that's points against it. If it wants to have an overarching story, that's fine, but it should be a nice afterthought, not a focuc. Metal Gear Solid and Portal are perfect examples. Also, you CAN join those games at any point in the series and get most of the story. Playing the games before adds to the experience.

Replying to Bello: No, I'm saying that you can get into it at any point, but playing the games before it adds more insight. Same with Portal. For instance, I can infer the personality of GLaDOS if I've only played Portal 2, but I can only learn about the relevance of adding characters and the door to the cake dispensary joke.

Personally I like Halo 4 more than Reach because it goes back to the chaos of halo 3 with the order of halo reach. Halo 3 was about kills and fun no matter what game type, in contrast halo reach always seemed very organized and serious. Halo 4 seems to balance both side between objective (The order) and slayer (The chaos)
