Age is as much a state of mind as an actual accumulation of DNA degradation. Working at a VA hospital, many of my patients have many years behind them. The healthiest and oldest ones were always the ones who kept living life as though time had no effect on them. I had 2 patients one day, both 67. One refused to get a surgery to potentially save his eyesight because he "was close to the end anyway, so why bother". No outstanding health conditions. The other, despite having had his leg blown off during service and requiring an O2 tank due to lung damage from the shrapnel, was chatting with me about his boat, all the trips he had planned, the gift he was planning on giving his grandson when he graduated college (grandson was 15 at the time, so a long way off), and Far Cry 4. Dude was the one who told me that you could just wait at the beginning of it to "beat" the game.
The moral is, sure, being older requires you be more responsible for things, but it doesn't mean you have to be "old."

I live near a middle school, and anytime I drive past it in mornings or afternoons, I think that MS's are five years old. It seems like everyone's short, tiny, thin, and underdeveloped.

@Parks: My university is right near the nearby train station, so every afternoon all you see is a flood of high schoolers just walking to the train station. What's worse is if you have to go on a train with them (which I quite often have to).

I feel like my dad floats dangerously close to dangerously close to the first case scenario. It's a strange approach because you can't classify that as selfish or selfless. An argument can be made for both. He has an Inguinal or Umbilical (not too sure which one) hernia and refuses to get checked out/get surgery for it.

Numerik is mostly programming and engineering shit.
Algebra is what it sounds like.
And I havn't had much Diskrete Mathematik yet, but it is similar to Algebra, but more interesting, right now.

Going into 4th year of college, probably still somehow 2 years away from finishing my bachelor's. Currently set on going to go for a mechanical engineering degree after abandoning ship on chemical and computer science. Still don't have my driver's license, but going to get that and a (first) job over the summer.
Essentially, on some weird borderline of achieving real adulthood, but not quite there.
