I wanted some of those things once too, so I got FTB and played it for a while and after a very short while I got bored with it, but then version 1.5 came out in 2013 so now I have what I want in vanilla, namely automation (you just need to know how to do it) and I am still not bored with it because it has been continually expanded on since then

@sonny88p: And that's without using command blocks. If you want to see Vanilla MC at it's finest, I would recomend going on the hypixel server. They're getting Turbo Kart Racing!!! All using command blocks and server controlls with nothing extra needed on the client side.

because for me Minecraft is creating things in a world and not changing the world so that you can do things
So I like creating machines to help me survive, like automated food farms or automated ore farms and some comforts like automated sorting systems, ...

@sonny88p: Also, mods ar ebeing continually expanded upon too. Mods add far more content to the game, and if you knew what you were doing with a few of them, vanilla MC is borderline unplayable, trust me. I didnt play MC for 9 months after FTB, went to vanilla and ran out of things to do.

vanilla minecraft has many huge factories you can build, there are many guides on youtube for them, you just need to know where to find them

Tbh, you can play vanilla minecraft and prefer it because it isnt overly complex once youve played mods, but you just can not possibly beleive that vanilla is more fun and has more things to do because it simply isnt true.

@oilfire30: but again, you dont cheat in the buildcraft quarry, you need the resources and power, it isnt about how easy it is. The point of the mods is to work your way to it. using a command block is like creating a wooden pickaxe on day 1, then finding a cave with diamonds at the entrance, and mining them, with it dropping over a stack.

@Savis117: I know. But what I'm saying is that I DON'T use survival (especialy when I use mods) so that problem is irrelevant. What I can't understand how some people do and do not like mods, and you not being able to accept that. I like mods, I will agree with you in that part, but saying that, the scale you like them compared to vanilla (and people who prefer vanilla) is insane.
In short: Mods are fine, but bragging about how good they are is just not cool (except if you made it, then you get bragging rights). Also vanilla is cool without mods, but mods make a nice change once in a while.

@Savis117: CB's can do almost anything mods can do, however they require cheats to obtain. So mod's are good for doing CB stuff and more if you can't CB code yourself, or you want to purely make yourself survival. But now knowing you prefer SSP, I will agree that for SSP, mods are a lot better than CB's for SSP.

the one i placed near my base does go to that fortress, I put the rails there
as long as there is still somewhere for blazes and wither skeletons to spawn and you can still get there fast I see absolutely no problems with beautification

I was delving into the world of One Command Block builds, and found a command for a city generator. You set your one command block, it turns into a machine that generates city buildings wherever you throw special snowballs. This city took me about two hours (partly because I did not like the first one, so had to demolish it).

@oilfire30:drop a bow (unused), ender pearl and iron block on the ground near the machine and you can get one
needs to be near the machine because if the machine is not in loaded chunks it does nothing
so the machine should've been built in spawn chunks, then it would have been always on
because now the portal gun doesn't even work anymore if you are too far away from the machine
