(It's really sad but it is often used as a way for the writer to remove the "guardian" from the story so that the child protagonist can grow as a character on their own. It also serves as tragic motivation for the character. bolth of these are demonstrated in the harry potter novels. And sadly for those reasons the "dead parents" trope is very overused in modern writing.)

What we could do is make some sort of post where we and others could formulate a large story based around the events of what just happened here in this thread. By doing this, we can have access to more ideas from others as well as new characters. One downside would be shitposters of course, but we could just ignore them.
