Thought I might try something a little different.
Life of a Wizard is pretty much a text-based RPG on mobile devices. You get to live the life of a Wizard of your own make in a fantasy kingdom filled with diverse, in-depth inhabitants and many mystical creatures. You can live said life in almost any way you'd like.
If you want to know more check out an article for the game from it's publisher. It's way more fun than it looks.
Yay's:
- A fantasy setting with actual thought out geography (lookin' at you, Dragon's Dogma!) with borders of different territories belonging to different races of peoples: elves, dwarves, orcs, etc.
- Characters with in-depth stories and personalities.
- Equip items/train powers to yourself and your party.
- Having the ability to branch out and master different magical powers as well as knowledge that will ascend or destroy the kingdom (from conjuration to necromancy, from diplomacy to warcraft, etc).
- Character interaction to the max: have a family with a dog or lone-wolf it.
- Your choices actually matter at the end, for good or ill. They also affect events as you progress.
- Unable to change decisions. It may sound lame but it adds a sense of finality when deciding on taking certain actions.
Nay's:
- The story is a little short for my taste. You can probably finish it in a day or two.
- Too simplistic writing and dialogue.
- Misspellings here and there that sort of break immersion.
Overall it gets my seal of approval and a 4/5.

Bookmarked it, might give it a try in the near future to gather some ideas for the stuff I'm writing.

I like this style, it works. And is original. Unfortunately I have a hard time finding the "yays."

Nay: It's a mobile game that costs money. 'Nuff said.
Don't think I've bought a single one, honestly.
